This is a fascinating study of Americans’ attitudes and support of transgender individuals. The results show that religiously unaffiliated persons lead nearly across the board in terms of supporting transgender rights. The truly good news, though, is that nearly all groups – whether measured for religious or political belief – show growing support. The study does not speculate as to why non-religious individuals tend to be more supportive than those who belong to a specific belief system. In my opinion, the greater willingness to accept and show support stems from not having to shed dogma-based beliefs that some forms of gender identity / sexuality are “wrong” vs “right.” https://www.prri.org/research/americas-growing-support-for-transgender-rights/
