An Unlimited Potential

Community: I’m seeking to find it or build it, either one will do. One thing about us Nones is that there is almost unlimited potential to better organize. The title of this article caught my eye; the thought of non-religious people being recognized as a voting “group” feels like a magical story to me. Politicians know that they need to cater to voters by referencing deities, but so very few admit to being freethinkers. But even if they themselves are faithful to organized religion, couldn’t they try to acknowledge Freethinkers / Atheists / Humanists / Agnostics / the rest of us? This article explores the largely untapped political power of Nones, and the creation of the Congressional Freethought Caucus. I’m encouraged anytime I see glimmers of being less alone. https://www.patheos.com/…/nones-politics-america…/
